Insurance Lead Providers: The 2026 Directory
The active insurance lead providers compared — lead types, exclusive vs shared vs live-transfer, published pricing, and no-contract terms. Grounded in first-hand vendor research.
This is the working directory of active insurance lead providers — who they are, what lines they sell, whether leads are exclusive, shared, or live-transfer, how they price, and whether they lock you into a contract. Where a provider publishes a per-lead price, it's quoted verbatim below; where a provider sells by quote or prepaid deposit, that's stated as the fact it is — we don't invent per-lead numbers. Everything here is grounded in first-hand vendor research as of September 2026.
A few provider brands you may run across are no longer selling and are not listed as buyable here: Nectar (closed January 2024; its leads migrated to MediaAlpha), Precise Leads (out of business), and ProspectZone (defunct). Treat any of those as historical only.
To go deeper on a model, see how to buy insurance leads, or the insurance leads hub for the exclusive-vs-shared primer. And whatever you buy, plan to route it into an insurance CRM so nothing sits cold.
Large consumer marketplaces #
These are the big, brand-name marketplaces that generate consumer interest at scale across multiple lines and resell it, mostly as shared web leads with call and exclusive options layered on.
EverQuote #
Publicly traded (Nasdaq: EVER), EverQuote sells auto, home, and life leads (plus health/Medicare at the corporate level). Web leads are shared to a maximum of three agents — never two from the same carrier — with exclusive available on some inventory and screened warm-transfer calls. Pricing is quote-based, pay-as-you-go or prepaid, with no public per-lead rate card; industry estimates put shared leads in the roughly $15–$40+ range depending on line and filters. No contract — cancel anytime, with a 15-day one-click return window. Worth knowing: EverQuote carries heavy lead-quality and refund complaints in public reviews, so start small and lean on the return policy.
QuoteWizard #
LendingTree-owned since 2018, QuoteWizard sells auto (including non-standard: DUI, SR-22, high-risk), home, renters/condo, life, health, and Medicare. Web leads are shared to a maximum of four agents and average under two; live "WizardCalls" warm transfers are offered for auto and home only. QuoteWizard is one of the few vendors that publishes per-lead pricing (much of it promo-discounted): non-standard auto "as low as $3," auto premium "as low as $7.88," home "as low as $7.50," renters/condo "as low as $4.50," and search-lead tiers around $22–$24; health and Medicare are quote-only. Its Elite Agent Program requires a $2,500+/month minimum spend. No contract, with returns up to 25% within a 10-day window and 60+ targeting filters.
SmartFinancial #
SmartFinancial (grown out of Contactability) sells auto, home, life, health, Medicare, and commercial leads plus renters. It offers both exclusive and shared web leads (shared capped at three, one per carrier), live and inbound calls, clicks, and aged leads. There's no fixed public rate card — leads are quote/deposit-based, with a minimum deposit typically around $500. No contract. Note its return policy is credit-only within a 7–10 day window — the vendor states it is "not permissible to request a cash refund," so factor that into your risk.
MediaAlpha for Agents #
Publicly traded (NYSE: MAX), MediaAlpha runs a bid/auction marketplace for auto, home, and life (no health or Medicare in the Agents product). Leads are shared to up to four buyers, and pricing is bid-determined, not published — but the barrier to entry is low: a $250 minimum deposit and no minimum spend. No contract. Returns are accepted within 72 hours to 7 days, capped at 20% a month. MediaAlpha now hosts the former Nectar lead inventory after that brand's 2024 closure.
P&C-focused sellers #
AllWebLeads (AWL) #
Genstar Capital-owned, AWL sells auto, home, health, life, Medicare, and commercial leads — mostly shared (capped at five buyers) plus clicks and calls. Pricing is quote-based with no public per-lead rate (third-party estimates run roughly auto $6–$8, health $4–$6, home $13–$14, life $9–$10). No contract, with a 10-day return window. AWL also owns NetQuote, InsureMe, and InsuranceQuotes from its 2016 acquisition of Bankrate's insurance division.
HometownQuotes #
An independent seller of auto, home, renters/condo, life, and health leads. Leads are shared to a maximum of four agents (averaging about two), delivered real-time — no live transfers. Pricing is deposit-based with no public per-lead price and auto-rebill when your balance hits $50. No contract, a 7-day return window, 45+ free filters, and a new-agent deposit match (50% up to $500) that makes it an easy place to test.
InsuranceLeads.com #
Owned by AllWebLeads, this is a 50-state seller of auto, home, life, and health leads plus annuity, disability, LTC, and small-business lines. Leads are shared (three to five quotes per consumer), delivered as internet/web leads. There's no public per-lead price (its pricing page returns a 404), but it advertises no minimums, no contracts, and a generous return policy.
iLeads #
A long-running data company that now emphasizes property/mortgage data and enrichment — insurance is one of three verticals, and its focus has shifted toward homeowner/property "Intent on Demand" data rather than broad multi-line insurance leads. Pricing is quote/demo-based. Consider iLeads if you want property-centric data to append or target, less so for turnkey multi-line web leads.
Health, Medicare & final-expense specialists #
Benepath #
Benepath sells exclusive health/ACA, group health, and commercial leads — it has narrowed its scope and no longer sells Medicare, final expense, or life. It offers exclusive data leads and exclusive inbound calls (calls billed per second) plus aged shared leads. Pricing is quote/deposit-based with no public per-lead rate. Agreement runs four weeks, with roughly a 21-day return window.
NextGen Leads #
A San Diego health/Medicare specialist (health/ACA is the flagship; Medicare Advantage and Supplement; life is emerging — no auto or home). NextGen sells both exclusive and shared data leads, call leads, and live transfers through a second-price real-time auction (you pay one cent over the next-highest bid). It publishes floor pricing: health data "from $4/lead," health calls "$35/lead," Medicare data "$4/lead," Medicare calls "$45/lead." No contract / no minimums advertised (deposit-funded balance). Public reviews skew mixed on lead quality (Trustpilot ~2.8/5), so test before scaling.
Digital Market Media #
A pay-per-call specialist in final expense, Medicare, and ACA/health (plus solar and financial). DMM runs a US call center generating exclusive connected-call and live-transfer inventory — reportedly around 5,000 Medicare calls a day. Pricing is quote-based with no public rates. A strong fit if your model is telesales built around inbound and warm-transfer calls rather than web-form follow-up.
Exclusive-lead & live-transfer vendors #
Parasol Leads #
A boutique California vendor (since 2001) selling home, life, health, auto, Medicare, annuity, final expense, senior, commercial/group, and renters leads — both exclusive and shared, with warm transfers and inbound calls. Parasol publishes exclusive per-lead pricing: health $15, auto $18, home $25, and life or Medicare $35. There's no minimum purchase, though the homepage asks you to contact them before funding an account (a deposit model). A good option when you want named, published exclusive pricing across several lines.
InsureLeads #
An independent vendor selling exclusive leads across nine lines — final expense, Medicare, ACA/health, life, auto, home, IUL, commercial truck, and annuity — in three formats: live transfers, exclusive web leads, and aged leads. It has the richest published pricing in the directory: aged leads $2–$12 (from as low as $0.25), exclusive web leads $35–$125, and live transfers $90–$300 per connected call (a pre-vetted final-expense transfer tier runs $250–$300). Month-to-month, no long-term contracts, all 50 states. Also sells done-for-you agency services.
ProspectsForAgents #
A self-serve seller of exclusive real-time web leads and auto live transfers across auto, home, health, life, Medicare Supplement, renters, and diabetic supply. Pricing is quote/self-serve with no public per-lead rate. No contract, full-price credit on invalid leads, and geo/demographic/lifestyle filters. (Note: the correct domain is prospectsforagents.com.)
ZipQuote #
A San Diego vendor (since 2008) selling auto and home leads plus some health, as real-time internet leads and live call transfers, with a self-service "ZipQuote Exchange." Pricing is sales-quoted with no public rate card, and a return policy exists. No contract.
Choosing from the directory #
Group your shortlist by what you sell. For auto and home (P&C), look at EverQuote, QuoteWizard, SmartFinancial, MediaAlpha, AWL, HometownQuotes, InsuranceLeads.com, Parasol, and ZipQuote. For life, look at EverQuote, QuoteWizard, SmartFinancial, Parasol, InsureLeads, and ProspectsForAgents. For health/ACA, look at QuoteWizard, SmartFinancial, AWL, Benepath, NextGen, Parasol, InsureLeads, and Digital Market Media. For Medicare, look at QuoteWizard, SmartFinancial, AWL, NextGen, Parasol, InsureLeads, and DMM. For final expense, look at Parasol, InsureLeads, and Digital Market Media.
If you want published per-lead pricing you can compare on paper before you call anyone, start with QuoteWizard, NextGen Leads, Parasol Leads, and InsureLeads — the four vendors that put their numbers on the page. Everyone else is quote or deposit-based, which is normal for the industry; you'll get your rate from a rep after a short conversation about lines, geography, and volume.
Next steps: read how to buy insurance leads to set a budget and a testing plan, how to generate insurance leads to build owned demand alongside what you buy, and set up an insurance CRM so every lead gets an instant response and a tracked follow-up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Four vendors publish per-lead pricing you can compare before contacting a rep: QuoteWizard (non-standard auto as low as $3, auto premium as low as $7.88, home as low as $7.50), NextGen Leads (health/Medicare data from $4, health calls from $35, Medicare calls from $45), Parasol Leads (exclusive: health $15, auto $18, home $25, life/Medicare $35), and InsureLeads ($2–$12 aged, $35–$125 exclusive web, $90–$300 live transfers). Most other providers are quote or prepaid-deposit based.
Vendors that genuinely sell exclusive data leads or exclusive inbound calls include Benepath, NextGen Leads, Parasol Leads, InsureLeads, ProspectsForAgents, and ZipQuote, plus exclusive tiers at EverQuote and SmartFinancial. Exclusive leads cost more per lead but are sold to you alone, so there is no race to the phone against other agents.
Yes — most are no-contract and month-to-month. EverQuote, QuoteWizard, SmartFinancial, MediaAlpha, AllWebLeads, HometownQuotes, InsuranceLeads.com, NextGen Leads, Parasol Leads, InsureLeads, ProspectsForAgents, and ZipQuote all advertise no long-term commitment; you fund a prepaid balance and buy per lead or per call.
For Medicare, look at NextGen Leads (data from $4, calls from $45), Digital Market Media (high-volume inbound and live-transfer calls), Parasol Leads ($35 exclusive), InsureLeads, SmartFinancial, and AllWebLeads. For final expense, look at Parasol Leads, InsureLeads (including a pre-vetted transfer tier), and Digital Market Media. Benepath no longer sells Medicare or final expense.
All three are no longer selling and should be treated as historical only. Nectar closed in January 2024 and its lead inventory migrated to MediaAlpha for Agents. Precise Leads went out of business. ProspectZone is defunct. None of them are listed here as buyable providers.
