Nexsure is a cloud-native agency management system (AMS) for property & casualty independent agencies, built by Dyad, Inc. It consolidates policy administration, billing, commissions, general-ledger accounting, client communications and reporting into a single browser-based application. Its natural home is the single- or multi-office independent agency that wants a genuinely all-in-one system — including real accounting — without paying enterprise pricing for name-brand software.
One important correction, because it is widely miscredited: Nexsure is not a Vertafore product. It is made by Dyad, Inc., the rebrand of its original developer, XDimensional Technologies (XDTI). Vertafore is a separate, competing company. If you see Nexsure listed under Vertafore anywhere, that attribution is wrong.
What Is Nexsure #
Nexsure is a browser-based, cloud-native AMS for P&C independent agencies from Dyad, Inc. (formerly XDimensional Technologies). It puts the full agency workflow — policy management, billing, commissions, GL entries and reporting — in one system rather than spread across a management system plus a separate accounting package.
It is built to scale from a single office to larger multi-office agencies, and Dyad's broader product line also serves MGAs, wholesalers and agency networks. The lines of business are commercial and personal P&C. Nexsure has a long history — release notes trace back to around 2005 — but it is actively sold and updated today, with Dyad shipping current releases.
Features #
All-in-one management system #
The core combines policy, billing, commissions, GL entries and reporting in one place, so the accounting and the servicing live in the same system and the client record, the money and the book all reconcile against each other.
Submission and marketing #
Intake, quoting and submission workflows handle the front end of getting new business bound — building the submission and getting it in front of carriers so a producer can place the risk and quote the client faster.
Policy management #
Full policy lifecycle coverage — new business, renewals, audits and cancellations. As renewals come due, the system moves them through the same record the carrier data downloads into, so a CSR works the renewal against current terms rather than a stale copy.
Client communication #
Triggered messages fire on calendar events, expirations, cancellations and invoices, so the policyholder hears from the agency automatically instead of by memory — the expiration nudge, the cancellation warning, the invoice reminder all go out on schedule, which is quietly one of the strongest levers a small agency has on retention.
Accounting #
Integrated billing, commissions, a general ledger and reconciliation — a full accounting layer inside the AMS, which is a meaningful differentiator against systems that treat accounting as an add-on. Commission reconciliation ties what carriers paid back to what the agency booked, so revenue leakage surfaces in the same system that holds the policy.
Reporting and analytics #
Built-in dashboards cover performance, pipeline and profitability, with configurable KPI dashboards owners can tailor to the metrics that actually tell them how the agency and its book are doing.
Automation and configurability #
Work plans, renewal queues and triggered outreach automate repeatable service work, and agencies can configure workflows, forms and templates without custom development.
Integrations and APIs #
Nexsure ships an open architecture with open APIs and pre-built integrations to rating engines, e-sign tools, payment systems and portals — so quotes, signatures and payments move between Nexsure and the systems around it rather than being re-entered. Dyad has announced premium finance and payments integrations with IPFS and AndDone.
Pricing #
Nexsure is sold by quote — there is no public pricing. No tiers or prices appear on the Dyad site; the calls to action are "Request a Demo" / "Book a Demo". Dyad markets the product with a "No nickel-and-diming" positioning (a vendor claim), but the actual number comes through sales.

Who It's For (and Who It Isn't) #
Nexsure fits single- and multi-office independent P&C agencies that want a true all-in-one system with real GL accounting built in, and that value configurability without paying for custom development. Because Dyad's line extends to MGAs, wholesalers and agency networks, Nexsure is also a reasonable look for agencies with more complex distribution structures.
It is a weaker fit for solo agents who want transparent, published pricing and a fast self-serve signup — Nexsure is demo-and-quote only. It is also not aimed at life, health or benefits agencies (it is P&C-focused), and agencies that want a large, well-known brand and a big third-party app marketplace may prefer Applied or Vertafore despite the cost.
Is It Legit and Worth It? #
Nexsure is a legitimate, long-established AMS. The XDimensional lineage dates back roughly two decades, Lockton is cited historically as a Nexsure user, and Dyad is actively developing and releasing the product today. For an agency that specifically wants integrated GL accounting and configurable workflows in one browser-based system, it is a credible all-in-one option that isn't tied to the two dominant vendors.
The honest caveats are mainly about market position and transparency. Nexsure is a smaller, less-known name than Applied or Vertafore, so you will find fewer peer reviews and a smaller ecosystem of third-party integrations to lean on — do your own due diligence on a demo. Pricing is quote-only, so you can't size the cost up front. And the product's long history cuts both ways: maturity and depth on one hand, an interface with a lot of heritage on the other. As with any AMS, the migration of your book is the hard part, so weigh conversion effort and training alongside the software itself.
Alternatives #
- Applied Epic — the enterprise standard with the largest ecosystem, at premium pricing.
- Vertafore AMS360 — enterprise P&C AMS with deep agency accounting.
- NowCerts — a modern small-agency AMS that publishes its pricing openly.
- HawkSoft — month-to-month, data-portable P&C software popular with independents.
